We need dedicated empathic staff who is willing to help provide services and maintain the safety of our facility. We are also seeking dedicated staff to work in our administrative department.

Security Officers

Salaries – F80’s $43,680. per annum F02′ $41,600.00 per annum

Full Job Description

Serve as the Budget Analyst to effectively manage financial activities of a Nonprofit Community Center to ensure all financial activities fall within funder and agency guidelines. Head monthly meetings with Senior Leadership ensuring maximization of cash flow and accuracy of financial statements. Provide ongoing support for all budget and forecasting-related functions as well as billing and financial systems.

Incorporate the maintenance and development of accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements

This includes budgeting, forecasting, and management of grants to assure that all activities fall within funder and agency guidelines.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, variance reports, and forecasting processes ensuring the financial plan is consistent with the organizations strategic business goals and objectives
  • Analyze monthly financial statements of multiple programs and variance reports (i.e., budget vs. actual report) to advise program directors of the best course of action
  • Lead complex financial analysis to develop budgets including RFPs
  • Reconcile and perform grant closeout functions required by contracts administration and sponsors. Perform budget modification as needed.
  • Monitor program expenses and revenue billings against approved budget and develop budget modification if necessary.
  • Ensure all requirements by contracts administration and funders are met during the grant closeout process, including submitting quarter, semi-annual, or annual reports
  • Evaluate and determine the feasibility of RFP’s as well as monitor contract performance to the budget
  • Collaborate with program staff to forecast budgets.
  • Compile and analyze accounting records and other data to determine the financial resources required to implement a program
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports for budget analysis

Audit

  • Ensure adherence to guidelines and policies as well as monitor the financial and programmatic status of assigned accounts
  • Prepare schedules and reconciliations as required for the annual audit

Job Requirements

  • BS/BA in Accounting required
  • Previous nonprofit accounting experience preferred
  • CPA a plus
  • Proven, leader with the ability to set team goals and prioritize daily operations and projects
  • High proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and Intacct (a plus)
  • Ability to function independently, attend to detail, work under pressure, and complete tasks on time.
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP, Non-Profit Experience
  • Advanced data analysis skills and high proficiency with MS Excel
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized
  • Effective, persuasive written and verbal communication skills

Security Officers – Three shifts available [7a – 3p, 3pm – 11pm & 11pm – 7am]. Must have security & F80 license – GED/High School Diploma. Experience working in a Shelter or Drop-In center – preference. Starting Salary $18 P/H after three months passing probation – $19.00

Case Managers – Two (2) Openings. Must have a BA, experience working with homeless individuals doing case management and housing applications. Bi-lingual a plus. Salary up to $40K based upon experience.

Social Worker

Drop-In Center for single homeless adults is looking for a social worker to perform the following duties:

ü Managing a caseload of clients with a primary Axis I major mental health disorder meeting with them weekly or bi-monthly as needed.

ü Assist clients with engaging in appropriate care, understanding their diagnosis and corresponding medication regimen, gathering necessary identification, establishing income, gathering necessary documents to complete a HRA 2010E housing application

ü Preparing progress notes and bio-psychosocial histories as per agency standards.

ü Facilitate two groups a week related to the needs of the homeless population

ü Maintaining accurate charts as per agency standard.

ü Networking with community health care providers to coordinate care and provide appropriate referrals

ü Providing some crisis intervention as needed

ü Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports and assessments of clients utilizing FileMaker Pro, CARES and Excel databases.

ü Meets regularly with the immediate supervisor as a means of enhancing professional growth, reviewing and processing the provision of case management services, and dealing with appropriate administrative issues.

ü Attend all staff meetings with a mutual goal of contributing to program issues and updates on agency issues.

ü Assist with intake assessments as needed.

Requirements: Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) with a minimal of (2) Two years experience working in the field of Social Services with the homeless population.

Must have Bachelors Degree in pertaining field . Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred. Strong organization and planning skills, work management and prioritizing skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving ability, attention to detail and teamwork. Hours are 11am – 7pm; (1) one Saturday per month.

Pay: $40,000.00 to $42,000 per year depending on experience.

  

Assistant Facility Manager – Drop-In Center for single homeless adults is looking for an Assistant Facility Manager to perform the following duties:

  • Assist with maintaining adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary.
  • Assist with supervision of the Maintenance workers.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols. 
  • Assist with conducting and documenting regular facilities inspections of emergency lights, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, light fixtures, and all other necessary equipment. 
  • Performs work according to standard procedure and by building’s   operational schedule.
  • Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways and windows as per agency policy
  • Assist with minor painting, carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs.
  • Collect and empty garbage bins and room on scheduled days.
  • Replenishes restroom supplies.
  • Sets up and break down chairs, tables and equipment in day rooms, meeting rooms and event rooms.
  • Clears snow from entrances and walkways.
  • Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to rooms.
  • Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.
  • Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor
  • Uses hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining grounds and walks.
  • Checks building at beginning and end of shifts.

Requirements: Must have High School Diploma, Experience with providing services to the homeless and low-income population, Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.  Strong organization and planning skills, work management and prioritizing skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving ability, attention to detail and teamwork.  At least (2) two years experience. Must have S-12 Boiler Certificate of Fitness and P-99 Boiler Certificate of Fitness

Pay: $41,600 per year.

Maintenance Worker

Drop-In Center for single homeless adults is looking for a Maintenance Manager to perform the following duties:

  • Performs work according to standard procedure and by building’s   operational schedule.
  • Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices and stairways as per agency policy
  • Assist with minor painting, carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs.
  • Collect and empty garbage bins and room on scheduled days.
  • Replenishes restroom supplies.
  • Sets up and break down chairs, tables and equipment in day rooms, meeting rooms and event rooms.
  • Clears snow from entrances and walkways.
  • Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to rooms.
  • Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.
  • Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor
  • Uses hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining grounds and walks.
  • Checks building at beginning and end of shifts.
  • Follow and complete daily work charts as instituted by the facility manager.

Requirements: Must have High School Diploma, Experience with providing services to the homeless and low-income population, Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.  Strong organization and planning skills, work management and prioritizing skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving ability, attention to detail and teamwork.  At Least (1) one year maintenance experience.

Pay: $16.00 per hour.
