Good Neighbor Policy
The Grand Central Neighborhood Social Services Corporation is committed to building and maintaining good relationships with all of its neighbors – including local business improvement districts, building owners, small businesses, and residents alike. We have made an effort to take into account the perspectives of our neighbors and to address their concerns.
Presentations to Community Groups
GCNSSC continues to meet with various neighborhood groups and associations — including the Grand Central Partnership and the United Nations Development Corporation — to present and discuss issues and concerns identified in connection with our mission statement. We look forward to receiving public input from these and other groups.
In addition, our staff attends local Community Council and Community Board meetings. We use these forums to introduce ourselves to our neighbors and to keep abreast of the wider concerns of our community.
GCNSSC’s Outreach program provides us with a unique opportunity to interact with our neighbors on a daily basis. Outreach workers – who are the most visible members of our organization – canvas the streets of Midtown looking to assist homeless individuals in need. As they make their rounds, our Outreach staff speaks with members of the community, listening to their questions and concerns.
