Assistant Program Director

The Assistant Program Director is a vital link between Program Director/Deputy Executive Director and all departments [Security, Social Services, Food Services, Maintenance department, and the Respite Bed Program]. S/he assumes the duties of the Director of the Program Director during his/her off hours. Supervise client traffic in the building, report of all incident, encourage the use of our services; supervising all activity and respond to any crises. Train new staff to agency’s policy and procedures.

Reporting to: Program Director/Deputy Executive Director

Requirements: College Degree and strong leadership skills, strong written and oral skills, computer literacy, F80 current security license. Experience working with the identified population.

Duties *Assists the Program Director/Deputy Executive Director with ensuring all employees are working within the agency’s and department’s policies and procedures when completing their tasks;
*All department managers are operating and supervising staff within the confines of their department’s description;
Complete incident and suspension reports as needed;
*Meets weekly with your immediate supervisor as a means of enhancing professional growth, reviewing and processing the provision of case management services, and dealing with appropriate administrative issues;
Provide a valid telephone number in anticipation of being available for immediate intervention;
*Direct Clients to appropriate social service staff
*Other duties as needed
*On-call 24 hours

Candidate starts with two weeks vacations leading to five weeks after five years on the job and individual dental, medical and visual insurance. Bi-lingual and security background is a plus.
Hours: Saturday through Wednesday mainly from 2pm – 10pm, with Flexibility to supervise the morning shift.

Starting date is 7/1/2019
Salary is $45,000.00 per annul.

Licensed Security Guard With a F80
In this position, the person work under the guidance of the security supervisor. He/She circulates throughout the building supervising client’s traffic. The Security Guard/ Officer remind clients of program rules, assist clients who have questions about the program, and maintain general order in securing the building.

Reporting to: Assistant Program Director

Requirements: GED/HS Diploma/Some College and experience with the identified population. Work experience can be substituted for college educational years.
Duties:
*Assist with client orientation to program schedule, services, and staff
*Encourages clients participation in Center activities
*Access needed services for incoming clients
*File incident reports
*Securing the center and ensuring safety standards are met.
*Must be computer literacy
* Bi-lingual (Spanish $ English) is helpful, but not necessary
*Other duties as needed
Shift varies. Candidate starts with two weeks vacations leading to five weeks after five years on the job and individual medical insurance. Salary is $15.00 per hour. Must have or pass F80 Fire Guard test and must have Security License. Must be able to work the 4pm -12am  shift.

MICA Specialist

Drop-In Center for single homeless adults is looking for a MICA Specialist who reports to the Social Services Supervisor/Program Director

Requirements: College Degree and experience with the identified population. 

• Managing a caseload of clients with a primary Axis I major mental health disorder with a Substance Abuse issues meeting with them weekly or bi-monthly as needed.
• Assisting clients with engaging in appropriate care, understanding their diagnosis and corresponding medication regimen, gathering necessary identification, establishing income, gathering necessary documents to complete a HRA 2010E housing application.
• Preparing progress notes and psychosocial histories as necessary.
• Conducting two groups on a weekly basis related to the needs of the homeless population
• Maintaining accurate charts as per the policy and procedures.
• Networking with community health care providers to coordinate care and provide appropriate referrals.
• Providing some crisis intervention as needed.
• Assist with completing intakes assessments as needed.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports and assessments of clients utilizing FileMaker Pro, CARES and Excel databases.
• Requirements: Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) with a minimal of (2) two years experience working in the field of Social Services with Dual Diagnosed clients.
• Must have a Bachelors Degree and experience working with the MICA population.
• Experience with providing services to the homeless and low-income population.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Hours are from Mon, Wed & Thurs 12:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday 9am – 5pm and Friday 10am – 6pm and approximately (1) one Saturday per month 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $33,000.00 to $35,000.00 /year depending on Experience

 Maintenance Worker

Reports to the Facility Manager

Requirements: GED/HS  and experience with the identified population. Work experience can be substituted for educational years.

• Receives oral or written instructions from facility manager.
• Performs work according to standard procedure and by building’s operational schedule.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways and windows.
• Uses brooms, mops, and floor equipment to sweep, mop, strip and wax floors.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and sills.
• Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs.
• Performs touch up and finish painting.
• Empties wastebaskets.
• Replenishes restroom supplies.
• Replaces light bulbs.
• Sets up and tears down chairs, tables and equipment in meeting rooms, and function rooms.
• Prepares rooms for use by Board and organizations.
• Clears snow from entrances and walkways.
• Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to rooms.
• Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.
• Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor
• Participates in general cleaning, painting, and repair work.
• Uses hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining grounds and walks.
• Provides assistance to officials, staff, visitors, and other employees as necessary.
• Checks building at beginning and end of shifts.
